Using Forge to Turn a Logo into a Reusable Brand Kit

A practical workflow for reviewing extracted colours, typography and reusable design settings before handoff.

Use the best available original logo and confirm it is the version approved for the project. The current Reputifly Brand Forge interface accepts a logo and offers colour extraction, palette controls, typography and shape settings. Automatically extracted colours are a starting point, not an approval decision.

Review the palette in context

Check the primary, accent, background and text colours together. A colour that works in a logo may be unsuitable for small text. Review the tool’s contrast warnings, then inspect real buttons, headings and body copy on both light and dark surfaces.

Choose a limited type and shape system

Set a heading and body style that remain legible at the sizes the website needs. Use radius and shadow settings consistently rather than adjusting every component independently. Confirm font availability and licensing before implementation.

Export and approve the handoff

Forge exposes brand-kit and JSON export options, plus CSS variables. Save the approved export with its date and project name. Inspect the exported file rather than assuming it exactly matches every preview state.

Keep implementation accountable

Compare the built website with the approved kit on desktop and mobile. Record deliberate exceptions, such as a more readable text colour. Keep the approved source and export together so the next update does not begin by sampling colours from a screenshot.
